For Sale!

If you know me, you’ll know that this is my prized possession. I made this necklace about 7 years ago and basically haven’t taken it off. This necklace has been through a lot with me and even though I’m already having second thoughts I’m gonna post my necklace for sale on Etsy. The price, you might be wondering will be appropriate.

This piece was made with some of my favorite techniques. The chain was hand made ring by ring then soldered together. The clasp was hand sawed and riveted together .The pendent was fabricated using the hollow box technique by sawing sheet metal into the desired shape and soldering all the pieces together. A tiny heart was cut and then held into place by the wire running through the pendent. The dark (black) color in the pendent is from an oxidizing bath,the rest are natural occurring. Copper is so beautiful when it turns that green color!

If someone actually buys this necklace, I will cry.

Then I will hand deliver it to make sure the person getting it is worthy enough.
